What you can update for free
These are the fields we store for every tool. Each change needs a public source on your site (a pricing page, a feature page or your docs), because our listings restate vendors' own websites.
- One-line description: what the tool does, in one sentence
- Best for: who it suits
- What it does: the longer description on your tool page
- Website: the link we send readers to
- Free plan or trial: only when your site states it
- Category: where you're listed in the directory
- Alternatives: the tools we list next to yours
- Plans and prices: each plan name and price from your pricing page, or "contact vendor" if prices aren't public
- Pricing notes and highlights: billing terms and the capabilities your pricing page lists
- Source page: the page on your site we read the prices from
What we won't change
- Rankings and picks in our roundups and comparisons, and the “considerations” and “skip if” text in reviews. That's our editorial view.
- Accurate facts that are public on your own website. We won't remove them.
- Anything in exchange for payment. There are no paid edits, ever.
There's no vendor login. You send changes, we check each one against your site and make the edit ourselves.

Yes. Claiming a listing and sending corrections or pricing updates is free, and stays free. Paid placements are separate.
Can I pay to rank higher?
No. Rankings and picks in our roundups, comparisons and reviews are our editorial view and aren't for sale. Paid placements are always labeled and never change rankings, picks, descriptions or review text.
Can I write my own description?
No, but you can correct it. We write every listing from the vendor's own website, so send the pages that show what's wrong and we'll update our wording to match them.
How do you verify I work there?
We reply to the work email you send the form from. A company domain that matches your tool's website is the quickest way. Personal email addresses take longer to verify.
What if my pricing isn't public?
Then we show "Contact vendor" and link to your site. We only publish prices that appear on your own public pages, so if you want prices shown, put them on your pricing page and send us the link.
Can I remove my listing?
We list tools based on public information on the vendor's own website, and we'll fix anything that's inaccurate. Email us if you have a specific concern about your listing.
How do I get a badge?
Every listed tool can use the free "Listed on" badge. Grab the code on our badges page; once your listing is claimed, it's the easiest way to show where you're listed.
How do sponsorships work?
Sponsorships, like a Featured listing or a newsletter slot, are paid, always labeled and described on our advertise page. They're separate from your free listing and never affect rankings or review text.
