How it works
After you subscribe you can start lesson 1 right away, and your welcome email links it too. Each lesson is a short page on this site that ends with a link to the next one. Do one a day. Each has one idea, a 15-minute task, a copy-and-paste prompt from our prompt library and the compliance guardrail for that topic.
Tools named in the lessons are examples from our directory, not endorsements, and they aren't chosen by sponsorship or affiliate status.
A sample from lesson 1
Start safely: one use case and three ground rules
Most advisors who give up on AI tried to use it for everything at once. The ones who stick with it start with one job they do every week, that eats time and that doesn't need client data to get going. Then they set a few ground rules and build from there.
AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Microsoft 365 Copilot are very good at first drafts, summaries, rewrites, outlines and turning messy notes into structure. They're bad at facts they weren't given: tax limits, rule citations, product details and anything about a specific client. They can state wrong numbers with total confidence. That's the whole trade: AI does the typing, you own the accuracy.
So the right first use case is one where you already know the answer well enough to spot a mistake. A meeting agenda, a plain-English explanation of a concept you teach every week, a rewrite of your own email. Not a recommendation, not a tax figure, not anything you'd have to look up to check.

FAQ
Is it free?
Yes. You sign up with your email, which also subscribes you to Best AI for Advisors Weekly. You can unsubscribe at any time.
How long does it take?
Each lesson takes about 3 minutes to read and about 15 minutes to do. Do one a day for five days, or go at your own pace.
Do I need ChatGPT or Claude?
You need access to one AI assistant your firm allows: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot or one built into software you already use. Every task can be done without paid tools, and without putting client data into anything your firm hasn't approved.
Is it compliance-approved?
No. It's general education, not legal or compliance advice, and it hasn't been reviewed by your firm. Each lesson includes a guardrail based on our fact-checked guides, but check with your CCO before using AI for client work.
Will you sell my email?
No. We don't sell or rent our newsletter list, and we don't share subscriber information with advertisers or data brokers. Our privacy policy has the details.
Can my team take it?
Yes. Each person can sign up with their own email, or you can share the lesson links. Lesson 1 works well as a starting point for a team discussion about which tools and rules your firm wants.
Will I get the lessons by email?
Your welcome email links lesson 1, and each lesson links the next one. After that you'll get the weekly newsletter, not daily course emails.
How we handle your email: privacy policy.
General education, not advice. This course isn't legal, compliance or investment advice. Rules depend on your registration and your firm's policies, so check with your CCO or counsel before using AI with client information.
