Short answer: If you already use an AI notetaker, start with its onboarding module: Jump Onboard ($50 per advisor per month on top of Meet) and Zocks (form fill from its $117 Professional plan) both turn the discovery meeting into a pre-filled, custodian-checked account application. Schwab-custodied firms should look hardest at Zocks, which Schwab accepts applications from directly. Larger and multi-custodian firms should demo Zeplyn and JIFFYAI. Small teams that want a trial today can test Mili from $60 a month.
Key takeaways
- The new generation of onboarding tools pre-fills account paperwork from the meeting itself, then checks it against custodian rules before the client signs.
- Only Jump, Zocks and Mili publish prices. Jump Onboard is a $50 per advisor per month add-on; Zocks form fill starts on its $117 per user per month Professional plan (annual).
- Zocks says Schwab Advisor Services is the first custodian to accept applications directly from Zocks; Jump says it opens Schwab and Fidelity accounts and sends them through Docusign.
- Onboarding tools handle Social Security numbers and account data, so amended Regulation S-P (in force for every SEC-registered adviser since June 3, 2026) applies to how you vet them.
What an AI onboarding tool actually does
Onboarding is where a "yes" in the meeting turns into weeks of paperwork. Jump puts numbers on it: it says opening one account takes about two hours of manual work spread over 8 to 15 days of back-and-forth, citing 2026 proprietary research by Dispatch based on customer sales conversations. Those are a vendor's figures, but anyone who has re-sent a form for a missing beneficiary date will recognize the pattern.
AI onboarding tools attack that in five steps. Check which ones a vendor really covers before you book a demo:
- Intake. Smart forms the client fills in, or that the AI fills from the discovery meeting, CRM and planning data.
- Document extraction. Statements, IDs and tax forms are read into structured fields instead of retyped.
- Application pre-fill. The custodian's account application is completed from everything above.
- NIGO checks. Missing or conflicting fields are flagged against custodian rules before submission, so applications don't come back "not in good order."
- Signature, submission and CRM sync. E-signature, delivery to the custodian and the new data written back to your CRM.
If your firm hasn't settled how meeting data reaches the CRM yet, fix that first. Onboarding automation reuses the same data. Our AI notetaker CRM handoff checklist covers it.

The picks, tool by tool
Jump: best if you already run Jump Meet
Jump sells onboarding as Onboard, a $50 per advisor per month add-on to its $100 Meet plan (Jump pricing). It lists AI-assisted account opening, automatic form completion, document intake and CRM field mapping. Jump says it pre-fills Schwab or Fidelity applications from prior meetings, documents and CRM data, fills missing details live as the client answers, validates the application against custodian requirements and sends it through Docusign before the meeting ends.
Zocks: best for Schwab-custodied RIAs
Zocks gathers client details from meetings, emails and connected CRM and planning systems, fills account applications, and flags missing or conflicting information before the client signs. Its strongest claim is custodial: Zocks says Schwab Advisor Services is the first custodian to accept applications directly from Zocks, with clients authorizing through their Schwab Alliance credentials and Zocks tracking each account until it opens. Automatic form fill starts on the Professional plan (Zocks pricing). Compare it head to head in Jump vs Zocks.
Zeplyn: best for larger and enterprise firms
Zeplyn treats account opening as one agent in a larger platform: tell it which account to open and it finds the right custodian form, fills it from meeting, CRM and document data, and returns a draft for the advisor to review and submit. It also handles configurable intake forms and bulk statement processing. Zeplyn claims an approximately 80% decline in NIGO submissions; that is the vendor's figure, so ask for the customer and time period behind it. Pricing comes through a demo.
Mili: best for small teams that want to start today
Mili is the only tool here with both a published starting price ($60 a month) and a self-serve 14-day trial. Its Onboarding Agent promises to "bring new clients aboard in days instead of weeks" with forms that fill themselves and applications that complete automatically. Mili doesn't say which custodians it submits to, so test it on your custodian's real forms during the trial. See Mili vs Zeplyn for how the two no-recording platforms differ.
JIFFYAI: best for broker-dealers and multi-custodian firms
JIFFYAI Unified Onboarding is built for complexity: it supports more than 50 registration types, individual investors through complex entities, multiple custodians, account funding, embedded KYC and identity verification, and AI document extraction, with CRM, custodian and TAMP integrations. JIFFYAI says firms can go live in under eight weeks and offers a free trial. It is more of an operations platform than a meeting tool.
Also on the shortlist for operations-heavy firms: Docupace, a wealth operations platform with new account opening, document management and the PreciseFP client intake product. It is a broader back-office system rather than an AI-first tool.
Compliance: what to check before onboarding data touches AI
Onboarding tools see the most sensitive data you hold: Social Security numbers, account numbers, IDs and bank details. That makes them squarely subject to the SEC's amended Regulation S-P. "Larger" entities had to comply by December 3, 2025, and "smaller" entities by June 3, 2026, according to FINRA's compliance-date reminder. Our Reg S-P guide for AI vendors goes deeper; for onboarding tools, check four things:
- Service-provider notice. The amendments require written policies for overseeing service providers, including notice to your firm no later than 72 hours after a provider becomes aware of a breach affecting a customer information system it maintains. Put that in the contract.
- Customer notification. If sensitive customer information is reasonably likely to have been accessed without authorization, your firm must notify affected individuals within 30 days, per the SEC's small entity compliance guide.
- Redaction and retention. Zeplyn says it automatically redacts identifiers such as Social Security numbers, and Mili lists configurable PII redaction. Ask every vendor what is stored, where, and for how long.
- Human review before submission. Jump, Zocks and Zeplyn all describe a review step before an application is submitted. Keep it in your written procedures.
Separately, FinCEN's final rule of December 31, 2025 delayed its anti-money-laundering program rule for registered investment advisers to January 1, 2028. Ask vendors how their KYC checks could support it.
How to pilot an onboarding tool in 30 days
- Pick your two most common account types at your main custodian and pull their real application forms.
- Run five new-client or new-account meetings through the tool during the trial.
- Count fields the AI filled correctly, fields it missed and fields it got wrong. Wrong fields matter more than missing ones.
- Track how many applications come back NIGO compared with the previous quarter.
- Have compliance review where the data lands, who approves submission and how the record is archived.

FAQ
What is the best AI client onboarding software for financial advisors?
It depends on your custodian and size. Schwab-custodied RIAs should look first at Zocks, which Schwab accepts applications from directly. Firms already on Jump can add its $50 per advisor per month Onboard module. Larger and multi-custodian firms should demo Zeplyn and JIFFYAI, and small teams can trial Mili from $60 a month (prices checked October 28, 2026).
Can AI fill out custodian account applications?
Yes. Jump, Zocks, Zeplyn and Mili all say they pre-fill account applications from meeting, CRM and document data. Jump names Schwab and Fidelity, Zocks submits directly through Schwab Advisor Center, and Zeplyn finds and fills the right custodian form for advisor review.
How do AI onboarding tools reduce NIGO?
They flag missing or conflicting fields and check the application against the custodian's requirements before the client signs, so errors are fixed while the client is still in the meeting. Ask each vendor for NIGO data from a firm like yours, since published figures are the vendors' own.
Does Regulation S-P apply to AI onboarding vendors?
Your firm's obligations do. Amended Regulation S-P requires covered firms to oversee service providers, including notice within 72 hours of a breach affecting a system the provider maintains, and to notify affected customers within 30 days. All SEC-registered advisers have had to comply since June 3, 2026.
