What Knudge does
Knudge gives advisors and clients a shared to-do list for financial action items. Clients get reminders by email, text or push notification without having to register; if they install the free iOS, Android or web app, they can set when and how they're reminded and message the advisor inside each item. An advisor dashboard aggregates action items across the client base and highlights what needs attention, and Knudge says it keeps a full audit record and is SEC and FINRA compliant. A January 2026 integration with Quin, an AI meeting assistant, turns action items captured in meetings into dated client nudges and syncs completion back. Knudge says it received the highest value and satisfaction ratings in the Advice Engagement category of the 2023 Kitces AdvisorTech study.
Key capabilities, per Knudge
- Shared client to-do list with automated reminders by email, text or push notification
- Clients don't need to register; in-app messaging stays attached to each action item
- Quin integration turns meeting action items into dated client nudges and syncs completion back
Good fit if
You want planners who assign clients homework (beneficiary forms, document uploads, account transfers) and want follow-up automated.
Skip it if
Your clients rarely have action items, or your CRM's client portal already handles reminders.
What to check before you buy
- It tracks client tasks, not your CRM; check how completed items get back into your CRM.
- Have compliance review texting and app messages against your recordkeeping policy.
- The Quin integration needs a Quin account; ask about other notetaker connections.
- Have your compliance team review data handling and recordkeeping before any client data goes in.
